Big 5 safari Tanzania

Nature has its own hierarchy of the animals and the big 5 are the ones that emerge right on top of the food chain. These are the deadliest and most dangerous animals in Africa, and they are definitely the ones you should be looking out for when you visit Tanzania.

The Big 5 include:

  1. African Lion
  2. African Leopard
  3. African Elephant
  4. Cape Buffalo
  5. Rhinoceros

These animals are called the Big Five not because of their size, but mostly because of the danger they pose, and how difficult they are to hunt. They were the most sought-after animals during hunts in the past, but thanks to increasing regulations, hunting has tremendously decreased, and it’s becoming much easier to find the Big 5 while visiting Africa especially Tanzania national parks.

Cultural activities Tanzania

Cultural tours in Tanzania take you to discover the countries diverse heritage. There are 120 tribes in Tanzania and because of that, Tanzania’s culture is just as varied as the wildlife in the country.  Each of the 120 tribes have their own traditional dances, music, rituals, social practices, art and traditional religious beliefs. full experience of tanzanian tribes and their daily cultural food and how they are so kind to foreigners make your wishes comes true.

Hiking safari

Tanzania safari packages Climbing Mount Meru requires more technical climbing skills than the routes on Kilimanjaro. What Mount Meru ‘lacks’ in height, it makes up for in difficulty. Therefore, it is important to have some climbing experience.

Still, Mount Meru is sometimes used as warm-up for climbing Kilimanjaro, especially to acclimate the body to greater heights. If you have the time and budget to climb Meru, it is definitely worth it. The mountain isn’t climbed as often and it provides a truly unique experience. Since Meru lies in Arusha National Park, there’s a great chance of seeing various animals while trekking. You’re likely to encounter giraffes, buffalos, antelopes and baboons.
